Continuity: Pustertal extends long-term coaching staff!

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has been a member of the win2day ICE Hockey League for the 5th year. Steps were taken one after the other and short and medium-term goals were set and largely implemented. In addition to sponsorship and marketing activities, consolidation and continuity in the sporting sector were on the agenda, and today’s announcement marks another important step in this regard.

The two coaching positions at HC Falkensteiner Pustertal will continue to be filled by Jason Jaspers and Kohl Schultz. Your contracts with the Wolves will be extended early for another 2 seasons, i.e. until 2028.

While Jason Jaspers’ coaching profile and playing career were well known in the summer of 2024, Kohl Schultz came to Bruneck as a largely unknown quantity.

Jason Jaspers impresses with his clear line, experience and teamwork, Kohl Schultz with his immense willingness to work and great specialist knowledge – both are united by the fact that they not only live the values of the Wölfe family, but have already internalized them.

In this way, the HCP creates a framework that, in addition to the sporting director (Patrick Bona), goalie and fitness coaches (Thomas Tragust and Renè Baur), advisor (Oly Hicks) and the two coaching positions (Jaspers and Schultz), ensure continuity at the top of the Wolves staff.

Jason Jaspers: “I am very pleased to be able to extend my contract at HC Pustertal. The big ice hockey family in Pustertal welcomed me with open arms from the start, which made it very easy for me to work here. We are currently building something great in Bruneck, which is why I am even more pleased to be able to continue this work. I would like to thank everyone here at the club, starting with Kohl Schultz, who is doing a great job as assistant coach, to our equipment staff, the office and, last but not least, the The leadership team around Erich Falkensteiner, Jochen Schenk and Patrick Bona I am very proud to be part of the HCP and I am impressed with the passion and commitment with which everyone here works hard every day to take the next step and further develop the HCP.”

Kohl Schultz: “I’m really pleased that the HCP has trusted me to continue to help lead this club to the top of the ICE Hockey League. The past year and a half has been a great learning and development opportunity for me, but at the same time a wonderful life experience. I can’t thank Jason Jaspers, Patrick Bona and Erich Falkensteiner enough for continuing to trust me as an assistant coach in the future. Everyone here is doing something special, and the big goal is to lead Bruneck to a championship in the long term.”

Sports director Patrick Bona: “As a club, we strive to focus on continuity. We would like to start with our coaching duo, who do an excellent job and, in addition to their sporting expertise, also have human skills that are a perfect fit for us and our values. We want to constantly improve, but at the same time remain down-to-earth and work hard. That’s exactly how Jason and Kohl see their work. They are constantly training, letting them play modern and fast ice hockey and are therefore a great enrichment for our club and our players. We are very happy that we have Jason and Kohl for were able to commit to us for another two years!”
