Czech crack Richard Jarusek spent a total of four seasons in the domestic league. After a short stint in Scotland, the veteran returns to the Czech Republic.
At 34, Jarusek already has a lot of experience. In 2009/10 he made his professional ice hockey debut wearing Orli Znojmo’s uniform. He also played three full seasons in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League for South Moravia – from 2011 to 2014. This was followed by many years in his Czech homeland before he celebrated his comeback in the multinational league, now the win2day ICE Hockey League, in the 2022/23 season. He played 28 games for the Pioneers Vorarlberg and scored 15 points. In his four years in the EBEL/ICEHL, the striker played 147 games this season, scored 46 goals and had 87 points.
After two years for the Knights from Kladno, where he was a teammate of ice hockey icon Jaromir Jagr, Jarusek decided to move abroad again. After 28 games for the EIHL club Glasgow Clan, the foreign adventure is already over. Jarusek moves back to the Czech Republic, where he joins Berani Zlin.
