Max Coatta returns to the Icehl!

The Innsbruck Haie react to the recent failures and sign Max Coatta. The 30-year-old US striker already knows the Win2day Ice Hockey League very well and has valuable experience.

“After the injuries to Darien Craighead (lower body) and Lukas Bär, the coaching team was asked in close consultation with the GM and the board, the squad was sensibly confessed. We emphasized that we are moving together and our squad – but the additional failures have shown that further reinforcement in this phase was necessary,” says the club’s side. Sebastian Benker had already been signed as a replacement for the injured Matt Wilkins – now with Max Coatta there is another newcomer. “It was important to us to sign someone who is immediately ready for use and did not need a long familiarization phase. The start of the season was anything but optimal, but they master this low together as a team,” emphasizes head coach Ryan Kinasewich.

There is only positive things to report on the newcomer, which played for VSV last season: Coatta is considered a hard worker who leaves everything on the ice for the team – exactly the kind of player that is now needed. If everything goes according to plan, Coatta will appear for the HCI next weekend. Max Coatta will be expected in Innsbruck in the coming days and join team training.
