On Sunday, five games are on the program in Win2day Ice Hockey League. Table leader Olimpija Ljubljana welcomes Pioneers Vorarlberg, while the EC Red Bull Salzburg, who is still unbeaten, is also guest at the Vienna Capitals.
With three wins and eight out of nine possible points, Olimpija started the season perfectly. As early as the previous year, the Slovenes succeeded with four successes – the “Green Dragons” could now hire them against Vorarlberg. No team has scored more goals (19) than Ljubljana so far, while the Pioneers had to accept most of the goals at the same time (14 in three games).
Salzburg also holds eight points after three rounds and ranks in second place. The master meets the recently strengthened Capitals, who struck two victories after a clear opening loss – including a spectacular 7: 6 against Linz on Friday. In the pre -season, the Viennese decided the last two direct duels in their favor.
The EC-KAC lies with two wins from three games in the table three and receives HCB South Tyrol. The Bozner celebrated the first season success on Friday with a 6-0 in Feldkirch and won nine of the last twelve duels with the red jackets. The South Tyroleans feel particularly comfortable in Klagenfurt: in the Heidi Horten-Arena, they won five victories from six appearances and only allowed ten KAC goals.
After three away games with a total of four points, the EC IDM heat pumps VSV will give its home debut against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal on Sunday. The South Tyroleans started with a confident victory in Innsbruck, but then suffered a shutout loss to Graz. Last season, the home teams always kept the upper hand during this pairing.
HC Tiwag Innsbruck will play two away games in Hungary this weekend: On Saturday it will be Hydro Fehérvár Av19, less than 24 hours later the Liga newcomer FTC-Telekom Budapest is waiting for his first win in Win2day Ice Hockey League.
