Change has started: Zeller Eisbären part ways with nine players!

Around two weeks after the end of the season, the first departures have been announced. The past season was analyzed extensively by all those responsible. It is now clear that Tim Coffman, Tyler Cuma, Kilian Rappold, Domenic Burghard, Janick Wernicke, Max Stiegler, Ethan Szypula, as well as Kele and Devin Steffler will no longer play for the Pinzgauer team next season for various reasons.

Tyler Cuma joined the Zeller Eisbären organization for the 2023/24 season, since then he has played 108 games with 5 goals and 32 assists, as well as 121 penalty minutes. He celebrated the Austrian championship once with the traditional Zeller club and won the Alps Hockey League once. The 36-year-old Austro-Canadian’s three-year contract, which expired with the 2025/2026 season, will no longer be extended.

There will also be no new offer Max Stiegler submitted. He also came in 2023, back then as a loan player from the Vienna Capitals. Max Stiegler was able to lift the Austrian championship once and the Alps Hockey League trophy once. Stiegler played 119 games, with 19 goals and 23 assists.

Domenic Burghard, came to Zell am See during the 2024/25 season. As a backup goalie, he was on the scoresheet 16 times and started 1 game. He also received no new offer from the Pinzgauers.

Devin Steffler (44 games / 3 goals / 20 assists), as well Kilian Rappold (69 games / 16 goals / 24 assists) joined the Eisbären in the second half of both the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons and were a big support in winning the Alps Hockey League last year and the Austrian championship this year. Both athletes have a valid working document in the win2day ICE Hockey League and unfortunately it was clear from the start that their commitment would only last until the end of the 2025/2026 championship.

Kele Steffler Like his brother, came in the second half of the 2024/25 season, but stayed in Zell am See after the season. 61 games, with 2 goals, 10 assists and two titles later, Kele will also leave the Zeller Eisbären.

Tim Coffman (42 games/27 goals/27 assists), Ethan Szypula (29 games/9 goals/26 assists) and Janick Wernicke (42 games/2 goals/6 assists) moved to Lake Zell for the 2025/26 season and immediately celebrated the Austrian championship with the Pinzgauers. All three no longer return to the mountain town.
