VSV sends talent Sintschnig to the AlpsHL for the time being – Legionnaire is coming back!

The EC iDM Heat Pumps VSV will play this weekend without its great talent Paul Sintschnig. The 16-year-old Carinthian, who recently attracted attention with strong performances in the ICE Hockey League and was voted Young Star of the Month for September, will be used for a few games at the cooperation club EK Zell am See in the Alps Hockey League – this is reported by the “Kronen Zeitung”.

“It’s about his development. This is a good opportunity for him to collect a lot of minutes there – even when outnumbered and in the power play,” VSV head coach Tray Tuomie explained the decision to the “Krone”. Sintschnig will play for the Eisbären for three games – in Asiago, at home against Cortina and away at Sisak – before he is expected to return to the VSV lineup next Friday against Graz.

For the weekend’s games, at home against Innsbruck and away in Bozen, Sintschnig will be replaced in the line-up with Rauchwald and Rebernig by returning Nick Hutchison. The US boy is celebrating his comeback after a finger injury and should play important minutes again even when he is outnumbered. In addition to Sintschnig, VSV also has to do without Nico Uschan, who is ill.
