ICEHL: Pustertal still “on top” after victory in Salzburg!

The HC Falkensteiner Pustertal Wölfe are still in top form. The South Tyroleans beat the reigning champions EC Red Bull Salzburg 5-3 and are still laughing at the top of the table.

In the duel between champion EC Red Bull Salzburg and league leaders HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, the South Tyroleans won 5:3. Greg Di Tomaso gave the visitors an early lead before Michael Raffl equalized. But Pustertal immediately followed up and took the lead again. With Raffl’s second goal in the middle period, Salzburg managed to equalize again before the outnumbered Wolves scored again through Christian Bardreau. The defending champions countered again, but Bardreau and Ierullo decided it with their second goals each. Pustertal thus increased its lead at the top to three points.
