The 360th Carinthian Derby goes to VSV!

The EC iDM Heat Pumps won the first duel of the season against the EC-KAC in front of their home crowd. The Eagles ultimately prevailed against the Red Jackets 5-3.

The 360th Carinthian Derby offered the fans the best entertainment right from the start – with high speed, duels and goals. The visitors were unable to capitalize on their powerful start, Nick Hutchison scored to give Villach the lead in the eighth minute, and Hughes added before the first break. In the middle period, Hutchison scored his second goal before Murray and Mursak brought the KAC closer again. In the final third, From equalized to make it 3-3, but just 48 seconds later Helewka restored Villach’s lead. Lindner sealed the final score of 5:3 with his fourth power play goal of the evening. The blue-whites returned to the top 6.
