Call-Up: Austro defender is about to make his NHL debut!

David Reinbacher is about to make his debut in the best league in the world. The Montreal Canadiens have called up the Austro defender to the NHL.

Reinbacher played 57 games this year for Laval Rocket, the Canadiens’ American Hockey League (AHL) team. There he was able to convince with 24 points and a +18. In total, the Hohenems native has already made 78 AHL appearances.

So now it could soon be that time: the Habs have the penultimate game of the regular season waiting for them tonight. The Canadians are guests at the New York Islanders. Two days later, the “regular season” ends with a guest appearance at the Philadelphia Flyers. Reinbacher was traded to the Canadiens due to an injury to Noah Dobson.

Montreal has already secured its place in the playoffs, but where it will be in the table after 82 games is still open. The Buffalo Sabers currently lead the Atlantic Division with 106 points. Montreal and Tampa Bay are only two points behind.
