After almost 30,000 votes: Final spurt in the “Player of the Month November” election!

As is tradition, Hockey-News is once again looking for the player of the season. Before that, however, it is important to choose the respective players of the month, which will be determined by fan voting. In the third monthly voting we are looking for the player of the month for November.

Six players are nominated each month by the Hockey News editorial team, who then compete for Player of the Month. The winner will be determined through a fan vote lasting several weeks and will qualify directly for the election for Player of the 2025/26 season, which will take place after the last monthly vote.

In addition to the six monthly winners, the editorial team nominated six other deserving players, giving a total of twelve players to choose from. The result of the final Player of the Year election is the sum of two votes. 50% from the fan voting as in the Player of the Month elections and 50% from an editorial vote in which the Hockey News editorial team votes.

Voting runs until Sunday, December 28th/midnight and here are the nominations for Player of the Month for November:

Mathias From (KAC)

9 games – 8 goals – 6 assists
The Dane is coming into his own this year even better than in his KAC debut season. Nobody scored more goals in November than Mathias From.

Matt Bradley (HC Bozen)

8 games – 4 goals – 10 assists
Already with the Vienna Capitals, Matt Bradley is now also showing his outstanding scoring qualities at HC Bozen and was the league-wide top scorer of the month for November with 14 points.

Nikita Scherbak (EC VSV)

8 games – 2 goals – 11 assists
The potential of the Russian, who came from France last year, was always undisputed. But despite his 36 scorer points last year, he’s only really getting started this year.

Maxime Lagace (Graz99ers)

7 games – 6 wins – 13 goals conceded – 93.2% catch rate – 1 shut-out
The Graz99ers were looking for reliable support for a long time and have now found it in Maxime Lagace. The 32-year-old quickly acclimatised in Styria and shows consistently strong performances.

Rasmus Reijola (Fehervar AV19)

7 games – 5 wins – 13 goals conceded – 94.4% catch rate – 1 shut-out
Nobody had a better catch rate in November than the 33-year-old Finn in his second season in Szekesfehervar.

Evan Cowley (Vienna Capitals)

8 games – 2 wins – 15 goals conceded – 92.8% catch rate – 0 shut-outs
Despite the Vienna Capitals’ difficult situation, Evan Cowley earned the nomination as Kagraner’s life insurance policy. He is the least responsible for the Caps’ offensive weakness.
