Prominent NHL visit to the ICEHL!

A special guest watched an ICEHL game in Innsbruck on Friday evening: Mike Vernon, two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Calgary Flames (1989) and Detroit Red Wings (1997), came live to see his son Matt Vernon in the Sharks’ goal – this is reported by the “Tiroler Tageszeitung”.

The Canadian played over 900 games in the best league in the world and celebrated numerous successes in addition to the Stanley Cup. Despite strong saves from his son, Innsbruck narrowly lost to Fehérvár AV19 after extra time.
