In the only Tuesday game of the Alps Hockey League, the sixth-placed Rittner Buam SkyAlps host the seventh-placed EC Bregenzerwald. With a win after regular playing time, Ritten can return to the top 5.
For the South Tyroleans, Tuesday is their first appearance since their 8-3 final defeat in Serie A against Asiago. In the Alps Hockey League, the Buam won three of the last five games, while Bregenzerwald lost to league leaders Red Bull Hockey Juniors 2:6 on Saturday, thus suffering their first defeat after two wins in a row. In a direct comparison with Ritten, the Vorarlbergers were able to win the first away game 5:3, while Bregenzerwald suffered a 1:5 defeat in the home game.
Should Ritten lose the game against Bregenzerwald after regular time, second-placed KHL Sisak and third-placed EK Die Zeller Eisbären would be assured of a top-5 place – and thus early playoff entry for both teams.
