ICEHL: The season goal of the Vienna Capitals clearly defined!

At the Spusu Vienna Capitals, everyone is looking at the upcoming season of Win2day Ice Hockey League. Goals for the 2025/26 season are clearly defined.

In the past season, the Kagraners reached the pre-playoffs with 10th place, but there they said goodbye to Hydro Fehervar AV19 after three games. The squad was massively turned down: 16 (!) New cracks will wear the Capitals jersey in the Steffl Arena this year.

Despite an almost completely new squad, the goals in the federal capital have been highly set: “We want to get under the top 6. I think that we have enough quality in the squad,” head coach Gerry Fleming told the Kronen Zeitung. Accesses such as the two Hults brother, Randy Gazzola or the Royal Transfer around Linden Vey, also give the fan base of the Capitals hope. There is no decision yet with regard to the captain’s office.

For the 57-year-old Fleming it is the second season with the Viennese. The Canadian has been working as a trainer since 1998 and that should remain so in the future: “I cannot and do not imagine a different profession than it.” Above all, the combination with Vienna seems perfect, because Fleming and his wife Mari feel very comfortable in Vienna: “Vienna has so much to offer. My wife and I really love to be here.”
