The fans of the Graz99ers experienced a true offensive spectacle on Tuesday in Liebenau’s “Bunker”: The Styrian Fehervar swept off the ice with 9: 4. Now the Carinthia double is waiting for the Styrians.
“Something like that doesn’t happen often,” said double scorer Paul Huber after the game towards the “Kronen Zeitung”. So far, only six times more goals have been scored in a game in the club history-most recently in the 9: 6 away win in the playoff against Linz in March.
Especially the efficiency is impressed: every sixth shot of the Grazer is sitting, only Laibach and Bozen currently have better exploitation of opportunities. “The gates give us confidence,” said Huber, “but we can’t allow so much defensive.”
Because tomorrow a real hardest test is imminent for the 99ers: in the away game at the KAC (7.15 p.m.), the Graz offensive will meet one of the strongest teams in the league. A little later the game follows Villach.
