“Especially the start of the World Cup preparations is always exciting, as some young players always get the opportunity to show themselves at the beginning,” explained Roger Bader at the beginning of the week when the squad was announced. Now another promising young talent, Johannes Neumann, who works at Rögle in Sweden, has the opportunity to prove himself.
Neumann led the U20 national team as captain at the World Cup Division IA in the fall and was called up to the senior national team for the first time in February. With him, the squad for the first week of preparation and the tests against Latvia now consists of 25 men.
Head coach Roger Bader: “We want to play two good games and that the players show us coaches why we should take them with us on the way to the World Cup, why they are a candidate for the World Cup.”
