After 20 years of dedicated work, linesman David Nothegger officially ended his successful career with the international match between Austria and Germany in Zell am See on April 30th. David leaves a lasting mark. For two decades he stood for fairness, reliability and sporting integrity. The entire Austrian ice hockey family says thank you and wishes all the best for the future!

Even under pressure, he maintained poise, objectivity and humanity – qualities that characterize an outstanding referee and athlete. I would like to thank him warmly for his time, his passion and his tireless commitment to the sport. His work will be remembered, and the refereeing community loses a personality but gains a great role model.”
