After five defeats in a row, the Steinbach Black Wings Linz found their way back to success against EC Red Bull Salzburg. In the Upper Austrian capital, Travis Barron redeemed the fans in the Linz AG Eisarena.

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz ended their five-game losing streak with a home win against EC Red Bull Salzburg. In an intense and balanced game, Travis St. Denis gave the guests the lead in the first third; Brian Lebler equalized in the second period. In the final period, Logan Roe scored to give Linz the lead before Benjamin Nissner equalized to make it 2-2. In overtime, Travis Barron scored the winning goal with 50 seconds left. It was the second defeat in a row for the Red Bulls, who were still in third place.
