ICEHL: Innsbrucker Haie celebrate success against the Graz99ers!

After the last four defeats in a row, the Innsbruck Haie were able to celebrate a success again. The Tyroleans turned against the Graz99ers and cheered in the penalty shootout for the first home win of the season.

At the end of the seventh round, HC Tiwag Innsbruck provided the big surprise. The sharks prevailed against the Moser Medical Graz99ers-also with a “last second equalization” in the regular season-in the shootout and thus celebrated their second win of the season. The Styrians initially lived up to their favorite role: Chris Collins put the guests in the lead after less than 90 seconds. Although the Grazers had much more of the game and the sharks were only dangerous via Breakaways, comebackers Lukas Bär managed to equalize in the 30th minute. Even in the middle section, Marcus Vela returned the lead through a spectacular solo. The 99ers remained the superior team, but had to accept the equalization of Cole Moberg six seconds before the end. In the extension, the home fans of the Innsbrucker were already cheering: However, Sebastian Benker’s supposed game winner was revoked. In the shootout, however, the sharks prevailed: Sebastian Benker and Steve Owre provided the goals.
