Ferencvaros Budapest again struck the transfer market. The Hungary piloted an offensive Swedish defender in the ICEHL. It is the only second “foreign station” for the veteran.
At the age of 32, the defender, born in Landskrona, has a lot of experience. In 2011 Bengtsson was drawn by the Florida Panthers in the second round of the NHL Entry Drafts. However, it was not enough for an assignment in the National Hockey League. After 1.5 years in the United States Hockey League (USHL), Bengtsson returned to Sweden, where he ran in the SHL and in the Allsvenskan until the end of the past.
The season 2024/25 spent Bengtsson, who even won a silver medal at the 2013 World Cup with the U20 of the Tre Kronor, with the Swedish second division IK Oskarshamn, where he even acted as captain. The left shooter was able to collect 37 points in 51 games. There were only three defenders who were able to get more points than Bengtsson.
Bengtsson recently visited the Budapest league euil and decided to commit to the Magyars.
