What started 18 years ago as a fan forum is now an indispensable institution in Austrian ice hockey. We are so confident that we can say that, because Hockey News reached a special milestone for the first time in March!
In 2008 it was just an idea from three ice hockey enthusiasts, today Hockey-News is by far the largest ice hockey platform in Austria. The limit of one million page views on www.hockey-news.info was reached for the first time in March and confirms our work.
As in 2008, a now grown team still spends its free time with the aim of providing every ice hockey fan on our portal with all the relevant “hockey news” free of charge, up to date, compact and 365 days a year.
We try to implement this as best we can, receive praise that we are happy about, but also criticism that we try to deal with constructively in order to develop ourselves further. We feel confirmed by the current number of views, which reached their new high in March.
The last few years have been a high that is currently reaching its peak, because just 2-3 years ago a million page views in a month would have been utopian. But we are still highly motivated, see this as an incentive for the future and do not want to set any limits for ourselves in the future.
Hockey New App as the next milestone
The sport of ice hockey in Austria has made an enormous leap in recent years, both in terms of the domestic league and the national team. We want to take this into account and take the next step on our part. That’s why we’ve invested a lot of time in the last few months in our new hockey news app, which is constantly being developed and is already well received. All hockey news, extensive statistics and a prediction game are the highlights, but another unique highlight is in the starting blocks. But more on that in the next few weeks.
