The Vienna Capitals narrowly beat the second Hungarian team, FTC-Telekom, 3-2 after extra time and also secured important points in the fight for the top 10. The Viennese are still eleventh in the table, level on points with tenth-placed Villach and only two points behind ninth-placed Budapest. Cole Hults scored the game-winner in overtime after Linden Vey equalized in the 57th minute. Brady Shaw and Tyler Coulter first turned the Caps’ lead through Scott Kosmachuk in the middle third.
