The success of the EC KAC in the preparatory game against Starbulls Rosenheim was overshadowed by a fright. In the second third, striker Matt Fraser had to leave the ice injured after an unfortunate collision.
A Rosenheim player, as the “Kleine Zeitung” reports, had stumbled into the fight for the puck and crashed into the side of Fraser’s mainstay. The Canadian could only be brought into the cabin supported and did not return in the further course of the game.
How serious the injury is remains open for now. However, it is clear that a longer failure of the reliable attacker would hit the red jackets hard.
