The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won the only Tuesday game in the Alps Hockey League and returned to the top of the table. Salzburg were already 0-2 behind against HDD Jesenice, turned the game in their favor with four goals in the middle period and celebrated a clear 6-2 home win in the end.
Salzburg went into the game with two wins in a row. But Jesenice, who came to Salzburg with seven away defeats from eight games, got off to a better start and took the lead in the 16th minute with a direct pass from Lesnicar. In the middle third the Juniors initially had the chance to equalize, but in return Baloh made it 2-0. Just 35 seconds later, Gesson reduced the deficit after a remarkable solo effort, and Wurzer equalized when he was outnumbered. In the 33rd minute, Eliseev turned the game in favor of the home team, and before the second period break, Maul increased the score to 4-2 with another shorthander. In the final third, the Juniors scored two power play goals and celebrated a 6-2 win. This meant that Salzburg returned to the top of the table.
