Apart from the ice, it is not an easy start to the new season for the VSV: the eagles have hall problems, already stepped into a fat and now have to improvise. Positive: the fans keep the club loyalty!

Already four days ago we reported on a social media posting of the VSV, which caused a stir: The club had given the impression that subscribers had to pay for the two preseason home games-which caused many fans and also inquiries Hockey news moved after.

Hockey news-If demand and issued a statement and made it clear that this was a mistake that was included in the test games for subscribers in the subscription. But the problem: Due to the renovation work in the Villach town hall, however, not all places are available in the Preseason.

The VSV had to improvise

The VSV then clarified in a newsletter that was originally guaranteed that the full indoor capacity would be available from September. Therefore, they also tried to play a second home game in the Preseason. But now it looks different and you have to improvise.

The subscribers have to go to the fan shop with their subscription card to secure their ticket for the two test games. The sale runs according to the “First Come First Sere” principle and therefore there were long lines before the fan shop yesterday, as Managing Director Martin Winkler reported to the “Kleine Zeitung”.

Already sold 2,200 subscriptions

At the latest at the start of the season on September 21st against HC Pustertal, everything will be regular again. The fans will then storm the ice rink again in droves. Because despite an increase of € 50 for the season ticket, 2,200 subscriptions have already been sold. With a current occupancy of almost 3,000 spectators, there is no longer much space for day tickets. But the eagles plan an expansion of capacity to 4,000 fans in the medium term.

The traditional idea of ​​the fighting team in the course of Villach’s church day will be replaced by a new, attractive location this year. With the relocation to the Faaker See, the association offers partners, sponsors, media representatives and fans a special platform to welcome the team in an exciting environment.

The event focuses on the presentation of the entire professional team and the team of supervisors for the 2025/26 season. In addition, the opportunity to communicate the sporting goals and ambitions of the association.
