For the Austrian Ice Hockey Association, it is not good news that is coming in from overseas. The national ice hockey team will have to do without both NHL strikers at the World Championships.
We have already reported on Marco Kasper’s “cancellation” – he was not given clearance by the Detroit Red Wings and missed the title fights. Now the second, red-white-red NHL striker also canceled.
Focus on “complete recovery”
Marco Rossi only played 50 games this season – the Vorarlberg player was out twice due to injury. And it is precisely these injuries that the center forward wants to fully recover from and prepare optimally for the upcoming National Hockey League season. Rossi, who played 17 games for Minnesota and 33 for the Vancouver Canucks this year, will unfortunately be missing from the ÖEHV selection after two consecutive World Cup appearances.
