This Saturday, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, leaders of the Alps Hockey League, will meet HC Migross Asiago at home. The duel between KHL Sisak and Rittner Buam SkyAlps will take place twice within 24 hours this weekend.
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors took the lead in the table on Thursday with a 3-0 win in Jesenice – it was their fourth win in a row. On Saturday, Salzburg will host HC Migross Asiago. The Italians, currently in eighth place, have alternated victory and defeat in the last five games. On Thursday there was a derby win against Cortina. With Maxim Eliseev (21 points) and Jesse Juhola (20), two juniors players lead the league-wide scorers. Asiago’s Ryan Valentini is fifth with 15 points. Salzburg clearly won the first duel of the season 7-2.
The pursuit duel between KHL Sisak and Rittner Buam SkyAlps takes place twice within 24 hours. After a successful South Tyrolean derby week with eight out of nine possible points, Ritten is now traveling to Croatia. Sisak had to give up the league lead on Thursday after a defeat in Sterzing, but with ten points from the last five games they are still one of the strongest teams in the league. The Croatians won the first duel of the season 3-1.
The fifth-placed Zeller Eisbären want to take their momentum from their derby win against Kitzbühel. The reigning champions travel to the Unterland Cavaliers, who are dangerous despite being last in the table and were recently able to defeat Meran. The Pinzgauers have won four of their last five matches. In the AHL, both teams have met seven times so far, and Zell am See has had the upper hand five times.
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and HC Meran/o Pircher want to get back on the road to success. Both teams recently suffered three defeats in a row. Val Gardena slipped to sixth place, the Adler are currently in eleventh place. Meran won the last seven direct duels – including the first comparison of the season, in which Daniel Gellon scored twice in a 3-1 win.
After the home win over Sisak, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan improved to seventh place. Now they will face Cortina away from home, who have suffered four defeats in a row and are currently in second-to-last place in the table. The first two duels in 2025 went to Vipiteno, including the first duel of the season (4:3).
The meeting between EC Bregenzerwald (10th place) and HDD Jesenice (9th place) is a duel between immediate table neighbors. Both teams celebrated three wins in their last five games. The Vorarlbergers have won all of their two home games so far, while Jesenice is still without a point away from home. However, the Slovenians won the last four direct comparisons.
