A 5th loss in a row for Nahsville

This is the second time this season that the Predators have experienced such a negative series, having started this championship by losing their first five matches. The Preds, however, opened the scoring after 5’26 thanks to a goal from Jonathan Marchessault and an assist from Josi (23rd point of the season).

Nashville held on until the end of the second period. But Toronto managed to turn the tide with a double from Auston Matthews. The former Zurich Lions striker scored the 1-1 after 31 seconds of play in the second period then the 2-1 just 118 seconds later. William Nylander’s 3-1 after 45’06 “killed” the match.

Despite this fifth defeat in a row, their 19th in 26 games, the Predators do not have the worst record in the League, or even in the Central Division. With 20 points, they are currently doing better than the Blackhawks (18) of Bernese Philipp Kurashev, who for their part suffered their fourth defeat in a row in Boston (4-2).

The evening went better for Kevin Fiala, even if the St. Gallois remained “silent” against the Dallas Stars. The Los Angeles Kings picked up their fourth consecutive success on Wednesday (4-2), against a Texan team which itself remained on three victories in a row.
