EC VSV An important personnel decision has been made: Thomas Vallant is staying. After a lengthy back and forth, the club agreed on a contract extension with the 30-year-old defender.
But the defensive squad planning is far from over. Because as already reported, could
Nico Brunner return to VSV. The man from Villach is currently standing by
Graz99ers under contract, but an extension in Graz is considered unlikely, according to the “Kleine Zeitung”.
The Vallant extension does not necessarily mean the end of a possible Brunner transfer. Rather, the VSV could specifically broaden its defense after repeatedly struggling with personnel shortages last season.
Knows Villacher very well
Brunner’s return would certainly have its appeal: the defender knows the environment in Villach very well and would bring additional quality and depth to the blue-white defense.
It remains to be seen whether there will actually be a comeback – but one thing is clear: VSV could still do something on the defensive.
