Disillusionment in the Linz-AG-ISAREA: The Steinbach Black Wings went 3: 8 on Friday evening over fans against VSV. It was already the third defeat en suite for the Upper Austrians.
Hope only of short duration
Hope sprouted for a short moment. Emil Romig brought the Linzer back into the game in the 34th minute with the 1: 4, just 17 seconds later Brian Lebler added the 2: 4. But instead of a catch -up, the total slump followed. “The problem between the ears is currently,” Romig explained self -critically to the “Upper Austrian Nations” after the game. “As it looks, we are full again.”
Goalie change without effect
Goalkeeper Thomas Höneckl had to vacate his place after two thirds, Rasmus Tirrons took over – but he, too, could no longer prevent the debacle. “We have to change something about our game – and quickly,” said coach Lukas in view of the upcoming difficult tasks against Bolzano (Sunday, 6 p.m.), runner -up Kac and Master Salzburg.
Work worries and missing bite
In addition to the long -term injuries Sean Collins, Ken Ograjensek and Luis Lindner, defender Greg Moro also failed at short notice. Nevertheless, the performance was not too little: inferior, defensively unstructured and without the necessary hardness, the Black Wings presented themselves too weak.
Villach ice cold – sintschnig writes history
The VSV consistently used the weaknesses. The only 16-year-old Paul Sintschnig opened the goal series, captain Alex Rauchwald was satisfied after the final whistle: “We were hungry, could have scored more goals.”
