Transfer hit: Top player Matteo Gennaro is about to return to the ICEHL!

After a month-long break, a well-known goalscorer could soon be back in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Matteo Gennaro is apparently on the verge of a comeback in the ICEHL.

The 28-year-old center was in high demand last summer after two strong seasons with Asiago Hockey (41 goals in total). Several ICEHL clubs were intensively interested in signing the Canadian before a training injury abruptly ended all discussions. Gennaro was out for several months and was forced to put his career on hold for the time being.

Fit again and returning to the ICEHL?

Gennaro has now fully recovered and is ready to return to professional business. According to “Eliteprospects”, the Canadian with an Italian passport could play at HC Bozen.

Transfer double pack possible?

This could result in a transfer double pack. In addition to Gennaro, Matt Cairns has also been linked with a return to the ICEHL. He should also end up in South Tyrol with the Foxes.
