Olimpja Ljubljana won the duel between first and second in the table 6:3 and is now back in first place. The Dragons are also the first team of the season to break the 100 goal mark.
Olimpija Ljubljana and HC Falkensteiner Pustertal once again swap places at the top of the table. While the direct duel two weeks ago went to the South Tyroleans, the Slovenians managed to take revenge on Wednesday – and thus regain the top position. In front of full stands, the “green dragons” got off to a better start and took a 1-0 lead through TJ Brennan. The guests from Brunico had more of the game in the first period and made it 1:1, but Ljubljana remained the much more efficient team and increased it to 4:2 in the second third. Pustertal was no longer able to threaten the hosts’ victory and ultimately had to admit defeat 3:6 and give up the lead in the table. In addition to reaching the top, Ljubljana became the first team of the season to break the 100-goal mark.
