Test game for HCB South Tyrol Alperia, who prevails in the Merana arena with a clear 4: 0. The goals score Pollock (double pack), Di Perna and Gersich.
In the Foxes, the players in particular were on the ice longer that had fewer missions in Scandinavia-good preparation for the upcoming Chl home weekend. Coach Kurt Kleinendorst uses all available players, with the exception of the injured McClure. Vallini keeps the gate.
The game
The Foxes dictate the pace from the start. After a little more than two minutes, the white red lies with two goals in front: Pollock laces his double pack within just 16 seconds – first he uses Schneider’s pass from the slot, then he hits under the crossbar from an acute angle. In the power play, guests keep the pressure high, but even with numerical tie Meran has trouble becoming dangerous before Vallini. In the 13th minute the 0: 3 follows: Bernard cannot hold the shot from di Perna, the puck jumps up and lands behind the line. The South Tyrolean goalie, however, saves it alone against Digiacinto.
The picture does not change even in the middle third. Bolzano may act three times in majority: First, Digiacinto fails to Bernard again, then Gazley just misses the 0: 4. After all, the 35th minute has come: Gersich exploits Pollock’s assist to 0: 4. The eagles try claesson, but Vallini is on hand.
Not much happens in the final third. Bolzano shows a little too playful in front of the gate, pollock and tailor just miss the 0: 5. The black and white only come to a post shot and an unsuccessful power play. In the end it remains 0: 4.
