In the 2017/18 season, Canadian Jamie Lundmark laced up his skates for the EC-KAC for the last time. The ever-popular Crack ended his career as the most dangerous “red jacket legionnaire” of all time. Now another import is on the throne.
Jamie Lundmark scored 140 direct hits in his six seasons in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League, putting him at the top of the team’s internal scoring rankings. No other import player from Klagenfurt was able to score more goals. After the 2017/18 season, Lundmark ended his active playing career.
Was it a coincidence that a certain Nick Petersen joined the Carinthians the following summer? After five years in the DEL, the now 36-year-old moved to Lake Wörthersee and the rest is history: Petersen is currently in his eighth season and was able to celebrate a special milestone during yesterday’s guest appearance for the Red Jackets. In the away win in Budapest, Petersen scored the goal to make it 4-0. It was the 141st goal for the winger, who is now the most dangerous KAC legionnaire of all time.
