AlpsHL: Clear home wins for Zeller Eisbären & Asiago!

In the Alps Hockey League, EK Die Zeller Eisbären and HC Migross Asiago celebrated clear home victories on Saturday. Master Round leaders Zell am See defeated KHL Sisak 4-0 in front of over 2,000 fans and are now eight points ahead of their first pursuer Red Bull Hockey Juniors. Asiago beat the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 5-3 in front of almost 1,900 spectators and climbed to third place in the table. The player of the game was Ryan Valentini with a hat trick within ten minutes.

The EK Die Zeller Eisbären celebrated a dominant home win against KHL Sisak, with the league leaders expanding their lead over their first pursuers Red Bull Hockey Juniors to eight points. As a result of this defeat, Sisak slipped back to fourth place in the table. In front of over 2,000 fans it took until the 26th minute before Max Wilfan gave the home team the lead, and shortly before the end of the period Maximilian Egger made it 2-0. The Pinzgauers also scored twice in the final third: First Wilfan scored again (46th), before Christian Jennes made the final score in the majority (49th). Goalkeeper Alois Schultes parried all 21 shots and celebrated his first shutout of the season. In the sixth Master Round game it was the sixth win for the Eisbären, while Sisak suffered his fourth defeat in the fifth game.

Asiago against Vipiteno without any problems
In the second game of the day, HC Migross Asiago celebrated a comfortable 5-3 home win against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan in front of almost 1,900 spectators, which meant that the Italians improved to third place in the table and are now three points ahead of fourth-placed Sisak. Vipiteno is still at the bottom of the table with three points. The player of the game was Ryan Valentini with a flawless hat trick and two assists. The striker scored all three goals between the 22nd and 32nd minutes. At this point, Asiago was already leading 4-0, but between the 33rd and 34th minutes the Broncos scored a double blow and reduced the lead to 2-4. However, three seconds before the end of the second period, the home team was able to regain a three-goal lead. In the final period, Sterzing reduced the score to 3:5 with five minutes to go, but Asiago didn’t let anything go wrong and celebrated their home win.
