On Friday, they prevailed 3-2 in the pack derby at the KAC. Just two days later, the second Carinthian team follows. The VSV celebrated an 8: 3 winning victory in Linz on Friday, in which the only 16-year-old Paul Sintschnig scored a double pack. For the “eagles” it was the first victory after three defeats in a row. Last season Graz won three out of four duels against VSV.
Salzburg receives the Pioneers
Defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg is dealing with the Pioneers Vorarlberg. While the guests from Feldkirch celebrated their first win of the season on Friday 4-2 against Vienna, the Red Bulls in Puster Valley conceded their first defeat (1: 2). In the table, the Mozartstadt residents are still in second place, the Pioneers improved to twelve. In the past season, Salzburg won three out of four duels, but the Vorarlbergers are happy to remember the last meeting: On December 28, 2024, they clearly prevailed in Salzburg.
Linz wants to go back to the success in Bolzano
With just one win from four games, the Steinbach Black Wings Linz record has so far been sobering. On Friday, they were clearly sent to the VSV with 3: 8 at home. Now the Upper Austrians, who have already conceded 18 goals in four games, are guest at the form strong HCB South Tyrol Alperia. The Bozner lost only at the start against Salzburg (3: 4) and won the last three games, two of them without conceding a goal. Bolzano is located in fourth place in the table, Linz in eleven. In the previous season, each team won two of the direct duels.
Table leader Ljubljana is aiming for sixth victory
Olimpija Ljubljana is the only team to be unbeaten and leads the table after five rounds with 14 out of 15 possible points. On Sunday, the “dragons” Hydro Fehérvár AV19, which was free of play on Friday and is currently in eighth place with six points from four games. With already 34 goals, Ljubljana is by far the best offensive of the still young season – Graz follows with 19 goals, Fehérvár has met ten times so far. Olimpija scored six or more goals in four of the five games. In the scorer ranking, Nicolai Meyer (12 points) and TJ Brennan (11 points) lead two players of the Slovenes. Ljubljana had a hard time against Fehérvár, however: three of the four encounters last season went to the Hungarians.
