For the second time this season, EC-KAC and FTC-Telekom faced each other, and once again the red jackets came out on top. In Klagenfurt, Nick Petersen made the decision with his goal 25 seconds before the end.
The EC-KAC clearly dominated the first third against FTC-Telekom and quickly took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Simeon Schwinger and Luka Gomboc. In the middle section, the Klagenfurt team missed the preliminary decision several times. After the second break, the guests from Budapest became stronger. Jussi Tammela took advantage of the Red Jackets’ carelessness to score and equalized shortly before the end with a wraparound. When everything looked like extra time, Petersen finally struck and pushed the puck into the net with a quick wraparound.
