ICEHL: Black Wings Linz beat the league leaders from Laibach at home!

The Black Wings Linz celebrate a 4-2 home win against Olimpija Ljubljana. For Linz it is the third win from the last four games!

The Steinbach Black Wings Linz celebrated – after Friday’s defeat against Salzburg – an extremely important success over Olimpija Ljubljana, which was still at the top of the table before this round. The Upper Austrians started the encounter strongly. Julian Pusnik made it 1-0 after just under three and a half minutes. In the second period, Graham Knott and Emilio Romig each added a power play to make it 3-0. The guests from Slovenia came back impressively in the second third and reduced the score to 2:3. In the final third, the Dragons pushed for an equalizer, but were denied several times by Rasmus Tirronen in the Linz goal. An empty net goal finally sealed the 4-2 home win.
