The EC-KAC continued to extend its winning streak in the win2day ICE Hockey League on Sunday evening, the Red Jackets won – in Graz and after extra time – 3-2 for the fifth time in a row.
Post game commentary from Assistant Coach David Fischer:
“It was a very entertaining ice hockey game. A great atmosphere, a lot of intensity on the ice, a lot of action. There were two teams facing each other who both played a good game, our fans were excellent and our team showed a lot of character. A comeback victory and a strong final third after a very, very long week with many kilometers on the road and in the air. The fifth win in a row was again 3-2 – that’s almost ironic because we talk a lot about 3-2, we always want to score three or more goals and concede two or less. So it was a few precise landings in a row. Our team can and should be very proud of itself today, it was a real victory for the group that stuck together, in which the players could rely on each other and whose members openly demanded more from each other. We are building on this collective moment.”
