The weakened Graz99ers can now strike back at home after the defeat in Hungary on Friday. The Styrians beat the struggling HC Bozen 6:3!
The Moser Medical Graz99ers won the home game against HCB Südtirol Alperia 6:3. Although the guests initially had more of the game, Graz captain Michael Schiechl scored the first goal. However, the Foxes responded promptly in the power play. Bolzano also seemed more active at times in the second third, but the Styrians scored the goals: Josh Currie took the lead again, after which the 99ers struck twice with a double majority. The Graz team then controlled the game and Paul Huber made it 5-1 in the final period. Bolzano reduced the gap again, but Graz scored in the end to make it 6:3 and thus kept its immediate neighbors at bay.
