EC Red Bull Salzburg has extended the contract with defender Nash Nienhuis – the bulls announced this a few minutes ago.
Two years ago, Nash Nienhuis came to the Red Bulls from Michigan State University in the American college league NCAA and started his professional career. The compact defender quickly got used to the European ice surface and uses the larger space created for him compared to the American ice to exploit his offensive skills.
Nienhuis has established himself in the Red Bulls team and, despite playing four fewer games, scored a total of 22 points, one point more than in the previous season. Nienhuis, who once became champion of the win2day ICE Hockey League with the Red Bulls, is also a candidate for the Austrian national team with his Austrian-Canadian-American citizenship, but cannot take on this role in the current season for family reasons.
