The EC iDM Heat Pumps VSV is strengthening its squad in the fight for the pre-playoffs and with a view to next season with the Canadian striker Joël Teasdale. The 26-year-old is moving from the Trois-Rivières Lions to Villach and will strengthen the Adler’s attack with immediate effect.
Teasdale will travel from Montreal to Vienna together with managing director Martin Winkler and head coach Pierre Allard and then travel to Villach to join the blue and whites there.
The 183 centimeter tall and 96 kilogram winger is considered a classic two-way forward whose game is characterized by high intensity and reliability at both ends of the ice. Teasdale impresses both defensively with consistent work against the puck and offensively with his ability to get to the goal and his strong game intelligence.
In the current season, in addition to his appearances in North America, the Canadian also played eight games in Slovakia, in which he scored one goal and two assists. Teasdale spent most of his career so far in North America, where he was primarily active in the AHL. He also made two appearances in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens.

We consciously chose a striker in order to have a powerful attack in the extremely important phase of the season, as we are firmly convinced that Julian Raspotnig and Nico Uschan will do their jobs solidly in defense.”
With the signing of Joël Teasdale, EC iDM Heat Pumps VSV is bringing a physically strong and versatile striker to Villach, who will bring the team both stability and additional quality in offensive play in this extremely important phase of the season.
