The red jackets return to egg training on Wednesday morning and thus start the final preparation for the 2025/26 season.
Almost 17 weeks after the lost final series against EC Salzburg, the team of the EC-KAC will return to the joint egg training these days. After an excellent A-World Championship in Sweden and Denmark from Klagenfurt, in which all seven participating red-jackets cracks reached the quarter-finals with their respective national teams and the three Danish Kacler even stood in the semi-finals and took fourth place in the end, took up summer training in May. Since the beginning of July, the players in the Heidi Horten-Arena have had ice contact again.
Intensive first week
Since July 24th and occasionally until August 6th, the athletics have been going through the mandatory reviews on the occasion of the start in the training camp: In addition to the sports medical performance tests at Altis_Med, all squad players also complete appointments at Allench Optics and Dr. Ilke Nickl-Osiander to determine oral and dental health. The entire team went through the assetment and profiling at allout performance on which the training controls of the coming weeks are based on Sunday morning.
On Monday and Tuesday, voluntary egg training will be held, where the focus is on testing and adapting the new equipment. In fact, the training camp will open on Tuesday evening with the traditional meeting of all squad players, supervisors and employees, at the coaching staff and sporting leadership the guidelines for the coming game year.
First team training on Wednesday
The KAC team 2025/26 then completed the first joint egg training on Wednesday morning: After team meeting and off -CE training in the morning, it is the goalkeeper at 11:00 a.m., which is the first to enter the frozen subsoil. From 11.30 a.m., the team of Kirk Furey and David Fischer will then complete two 45-minute units with a short interruption for the purpose of ice cream preparation. Following the start of the training, the red jackets will face the media representative present from around 12.45 p.m.
Note for KAC fans: Unless otherwise announced, all ice training units of the combat team in the Heidi Horten-Arena are open to the public. Training visitors are asked to take a seat in the stands in the tuning and not to stay in the area between the player benches or on the corridor. Due to the large number of pucks used in training and the resulting dangers, places are recommended behind the glass bordered by the field.
On Friday at the Altstadtzauber
After three intensive training days, the red jackets whip through on Friday evening, for the first time they are guests at the old city magic in downtown Klagenfurt. The KAC team will be presented on the big stage on the new square from 6.30 p.m. In the early Saturday morning, the group finally travels to the team building weekend in East Tyrol.
The end of the second week of training was concluded on Friday, August 15th, then the first test game 2025: The red jackets receive the highly upgraded team of Olimpija Ljubljana in the Heidi Horten-Arena.
