Today against Red Bull Salzburg, defense boss Jesper Jensen Aabo is celebrating his comeback. It remains to be seen whether the Dane will stay with the KAC beyond the season.
Jesper Jensen Aabo has been condemned to watch since the end of December, and today he returns to the line-up against Red Bull Salzburg. This means he still has three games to prepare for another sporting highlight: the Olympic ice hockey tournament for his home country, for which he will also act as a flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
Championship title as a goal
But he doesn’t just have big goals with his home country, also with the KAC, as he reveals to the “Kronen Zeitung”: “We already won the basic round in the previous two seasons – this time the championship title has to be the big goal.”
His contract expires after the season, it is still unclear whether he will stay with the Red Jackets beyond the current season, but the 34-year-old is not averse to it: “I feel comfortable here, Klagenfurt is our second home.”
