“It was a game that was both boring at times and exciting at times. HCB Südtirol has a style that requires a lot of simplicity; you can’t get past them with spectacle. Our team implemented it for a long time, but overall it didn’t last long enough. We had enough opportunities, but they had a strong goalie between the posts. Our penalty killing was excellent, but so was theirs. That was a game that awaits us in the playoffs. You could see that it’s still working out for us It didn’t feel good, we couldn’t act well and presentably in March and April: a player is on the ice for 24 shifts and in 23 of them it’s just about working, closing gaps, fighting through.
