Bitter debut: shoulder injury stops youngster Paul Sintschnig!

Paul Sintschnig’s (16) debut in the Austrian national ice hockey team took an unfortunate turn at the Germany Cup in Landshut. The youngster from EC VSV suffered a shoulder injury in his first game for the senior national team against Slovakia and had to end the tournament prematurely.

The incident occurred in the final period of the game, which Austria lost 6-2, when Sintschnig suffered an injury when he accidentally hit the boards. The Austrian Ice Hockey Association (ÖEHV) confirmed the 16-year-old striker’s early return home on Thursday evening.
