Defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg remains unstoppable and celebrated its eighth success in a row with a 4-0 away win at HC TIWAG Innsbruck. HCB Südtirol Alperia also kept a clean sheet in their 5-0 home win against Pioneers Vorarlberg and celebrated their third win in a row. Both teams have 58 points in the table, Bozen is in fourth place ahead of Salzburg due to the better goal difference. The Pioneers and Innsbruck remain at the bottom of the table.
Brandon Coe (14th), Benjamin Nissner (25th), Peter Hochkofler (45th) and Mario Huber (55th) were among the top scorers in Salzburg’s success in Innsbruck. Goalkeeper Atte Tolvanen saved all 22 shots and celebrated his first shutout of the season. In Bolzano, all five goals came in the middle third: Max Gildon opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, Luca Frigo scored his 100th goal for Bolzano in the 27th minute, Brad McClure scored in the power play (29th) and Dustin Gazley scored a brace (31st, 34th).
