ICEHL: Vienna Capitals celebrate a clear away win in Innsbruck!

The Vienna Capitals rehabilitated themselves from yesterday’s defeat against the Pioneers Vorarlberg and clearly defeated HC Innsbruck 5:2.

Innsbruck started with enthusiasm, but after an open initial phase, the Viennese struck twice in the first third within twelve seconds through Nogier and Lanzinger. In the second period, Corbeil shortened the score in the power play before the guests showed themselves ice cold again shortly before the end of the period: Franklin and Vey scored within a minute to make it 1:4. In the final third the Caps didn’t let up much, Benker brought the Sharks close again in the majority, but Peeters made the final decision shortly afterwards. The Viennese team won the third duel of the season against the Haie and improved to ninth place in the table.
