HCB Südtirol Alperia won a hard-fought 5:4 shootout win at FTC-Telekom. The Foxes took the lead late in the first period before Budapest turned the game around and led 3-1. Bolzano equalized in the middle section. In the final period, Brady Shaw scored for the second time for FTC, but Luca Frigo also scored his second goal and saved the Foxes into overtime. The South Tyroleans finally secured the additional point in the penalty shootout.
