Former ICEHL bomber Brendan O’Donnell has found a new employer. The Canadian is heading to the Czech Extraliga!
Traditional club Kometa Brno has signed Canadian striker Brendan O’Donnell. The 33-year-old, who most recently played for Düsseldorfer EG in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) and was relegated last year, has been without a club in recent months.
O’Donnell brings with him plenty of international experience and, above all, a goal threat. Over the last four years he has become a crowd favorite in Düsseldorf and one of the most consistent offensive players in the league. The winger collected 158 scorer points in 161 DEL games.
Even before his involvement in Germany, O’Donnell made a lasting impression in the ICE Hockey League. In the 2018/19 season he scored 33 goals in the Dornbirn Bulldogs jersey, making him one of the most dangerous attackers in the league.
