The end of the season at
HC Bolzano is still deep and a total upheaval is probably imminent. Also trainers
Doug Shedden is the focus and will probably have to leave the club – a successor could be ready.
A possible successor is
Christian Borgatello. The 44-year-old has been head coach at the club for over a year
HC Meran in the
Alps Hockey League
and currently still in the middle of the current season. With Meran, Borgatello is causing a stir this year. His team is surprisingly in the semifinals and has last year’s ICEHL participant on the way there
HC Asiago
off.
According to the daily newspaper “Dolomiten”, Borgatello is a candidate in Bolzano and could replace coach Shedden, who was recently criticized by boss Dieter Knoll.
